Removing Barriers Tattoo Removal Program

It pains us to say that unfortunately, we've been asked to both delay and scale down Removing Barriers clinic, so we are canceling clinics until further notice. We're rebooking on a first-come, first-serve basis. If we run out of space for the month, we have a 20-person waitlist and we'll prioritize you for the following month once we are cleared to return. We’ll be reaching out via phone and email to let everyone know and get you rescheduled.

When we do return, please know that due to COVID-19, we're observing strict protocols and scaling down the clinic to ensure social distancing. As a prelude of things to come, know that we’re in a new building and are held to the protocols in place.

Updated Clinic Rules:

  • No children or companions, unless you require a caretaker for ADA purposes, may accompany you inside the building.
  • If needed, shave the area before you leave for your appointment.
  • Arrive 15 minutes before your appointment and call us from your car to check-in. The # is 510-215-3189. If you check in later than that, we cannot guarantee you will be seen.
  • Masks are mandatory at all times unless or until the treatment nurse directs otherwise.
  • Your temperature will be taken via a touchless infrared forehead thermometer and you will complete a COVID-19 disclaimer form on which we'll need your physical address and a number where you may be reached or we may leave a message; none of this information is optional due to tracing requirements.
  • We are not able to offer ice packs at this time.
  • Signs are posted throughout the building with mandated social distancing and masks, as well as directions for sanitizing if you use the bathrooms. All directives need to be complied with.
  • In the waiting room, you will need to remove any numbing cream. Ask the person at registration for a wipe and dispose of in the garbage bin provided.

Removing Barriers is a low-cost laser tattoo removal program offered by the San Pablo EDC and City of San Pablo to remove barriers to opportunity. We offer flat-fee laser tattoo removal every second Saturday of the month from 7:45 AM to 11:45 AM. We require a $20 refundable deposit to hold your following appointment. All clients must arrive 15-20 minutes before their scheduled appointment to allow ample time for registration. We encourage clients to ice area of treatment at least 30 minutes before their scheduled appointment.

Clinic Fees and Rules

  • Must pay a $20 deposit to reserve your treatment
  • Must cancel 24 hours before clinic to avoid $10 No Show/No Call fee
  • $80 fee per 5-minute session for non-San Pablo residents
  • Must be 18 years or older
  • May not be pregnant or breastfeeding
  • No red, blue or any sports affiliated gear worn during treatment hours
  • No children allowed at the clinic during treatment hours
